Best Karaoke Bars in Melbourne
If you’re looking to belt out a few power ballads, or serenade from a laminated songbook, we’ve found the best Karaoke venues for you to get in touch with your inner pop star.
52 Latrobe Street
The perfect place if you’ve got a group of friends together for a celebration or a sing along. KBOX rents out private rooms, so those who get stage fright around strangers have nothing to fear. Prices vary per person depending on what time or day you plan to sing your lungs out, and include two drinks per person in case you need a little extra courage.
Charltons Entertainment Complex
2/2 Coverlid Place
Charltons is classic public karaoke; you pick a song, throw your hat in the ring and sing in front of the entire bar. Because your song is being considered along with everyone else in the room, it may take a while for you to be selected. Settle in, happy hour goes until 10.30pm, and enjoy some hilarious (albeit potentially off-key) performances.

Rice Queen Karaoke
389 Brunswick Street
Rice queen is already a stand out when it comes to Asian cuisine and cocktails. Now that they have a private karaoke room, we don’t want to spend our Friday nights anywhere else. The room fits up to 15 people and it’s $15 per person for 90-minute song sessions. We definitely recommend booking this one in advance, as they only have one room to rent out.

Rainbow Karaoke Bar
2/206 Bourke Street
This right here is Melbourne’s largest KTV bar, with 44 rooms to perform to your heart’s content. On top of that, each room is themed, so if you’ve ever wanted to try pirate themed karaoke, now is your chance! This is some deluxe Karaoke folks, as you will be appointed your own service staff for the night, and boy are they quick to top you up when you’re glass is looking a little empty.

Hip Hop Karaoke at 1000 £ Bend
361 Lt Lonsdale Street
New to Melbourne’s karaoke scene is Hip Hop Karaoke, a night hosted once a month at 1000 Pound Bend. The biggest point of difference for this karaoke, other than it being exclusively hip hop and rap songs, is that there are no lyric sheets, so punters must come prepared. This is a really easygoing and inclusive night for those who secretly know all the words to Gangsta’s Paradise and have been waiting for their moment to shine.
