Vivid Sydney 2015
It’s that time of year again; when the sun goes down a little earlier but the nights get lighter, brighter and altogether a little more exciting.

Shine bright!
The festival is arguably most famous for lighting up Sydney buildings and landmarks with installations around the CBD.
One great option to experience Vivid is to explore on foot – it will take a while to get to everything, but you can go at your own pace, stopping and starting as you please. If this is your style, head to Circular Quay and The Rocks to see Sydney’s iconic landmarks in a new light. Literally.

Sydney Opera House comes alive with a dynamic light design projected onto the sails, while the Harbour Bridge features both stationary lights and a video projection on the side pillars. You can check out what installations will be where by visiting www.vividsydney.com.

A unique way to see the lights is from the water, with nightly cruises running frequently out on the harbour. Check out Spreets.com.au for great low prices on cruises that offer dinner, drinks and entertainment!
It’s not just about the lights!
There’s far more to Vivid than many people realise. The festival includes creative discussions, workshops, plenty of live music and, of course, those lights!
Vivid Ideas is a range of public and industry events designed to celebrate innovation, creativity and collaboration. The program includes lectures, discussions and workshops in a variety of fields including animation, design, fashion and digital media.
Live music will play a key role in the festival with performances featured throughout the festival. Headlining performers include Jane Tyrrell, Bad Plus, Richard Bona and many more.
